A roofing estimate is easier to trust when you can see what it is paying for. That is how we work in Pflugerville: we assess the roof, photograph what we find, show you the pictures, and only then talk about a repair, a replacement or no work at all. About seven in ten occupied homes here are lived in by their owners, and an owner deciding what to do about a roof deserves evidence, not a sales pitch.
Fill in the form and we will call you back to set a time, or ring (214) 766-3669. Someone picks up from 7 am to 6 pm, all seven days of the week.
Who you will deal with
Leanne Tolbert owns SunTex, and the company is 100% woman-owned and operated. Alex Keller manages our Central Texas and Austin sales, and Travis and Alison Gardenhire are our Central Texas project managers. Behind them, Beth Keller runs operations and Suade Sherman runs our only office, in Frisco at 12800 Westridge Blvd, Suite 162, where your scheduling and paperwork are handled.
Concierge service, as we use the term, means you deal with one roofing company and the evidence comes first. On a Pflugerville roof that breaks down into three parts, whether the job ends up a repair or a replacement.
We photograph each problem we find, with enough of the roof around it that you can tell which slope you are looking at. You see what we saw before you see a price.
A dedicated project manager schedules the crew, answers your questions and walks the finished roof with you. The name you get at the start is the name you have at the end.
When a storm is the reason for the work, the same photographs support your insurance restoration claim. Your policy and the adjuster's decision stay between you and your insurer.
Call (214) 766-3669 or send the form. If you remember the storm, whether it was September 2023, April 2021 or something more recent, tell us the date, and mention any leak or stain you have noticed inside.
We come to your Pflugerville home for a complimentary assessment, photograph what we find and go through the pictures with you, problem by problem.
You get a written estimate and our honest read on what the roof needs. Once you approve the work and the material, your project manager books the crew and keeps you updated through the final walkthrough.
The Census Bureau's 2020 to 2024 American Community Survey counts 25,627 housing units in Pflugerville. Of those, 5,530 were built in the 1990s, 7,332 in the 2000s and 7,279 in the 2010s, so close to four in five homes in the city went up in those three decades (U.S. Census Bureau, ACS table B25034). The median Pflugerville home was built in 2004, and the median owner-occupied home is valued at $402,400.
This is an owner's town. Of 24,427 occupied homes, 17,074 are lived in by their owners, and 18,866 of the city's housing units are detached single-family houses. When a roof here needs work, the person paying for it usually lives under it.
The storms that hit Pflugerville tend to hit its neighbors the same day. On April 15, 2021, two inch hail fell near Pflugerville while NOAA logged golf ball and two inch hail in Round Rock, where we look after homes on a record that runs to four-inch hail. On September 24, 2023, three inch hail fell on Burnet Lane in Austin's Brentwood area, within the same storm complex that brought tea cup hail here, and our roofing work for Austin owners and landlords covers that side of Travis County. We also repair and replace Cedar Park roofs that sat under 20 minutes of hail in May 2025.
Pflugerville sits inside our North Texas, Central Texas and Austin-area roofing territory. For an assessment, call (214) 766-3669.

From residential and commercial roof replacement to urgent emergency roof repairs, our 5-star service speaks for itself.
Three inch hail can crack a shingle without leaving anything you would spot from the sidewalk. Ask for a free assessment and you will see photos of exactly what is on your roof, and whether a repair covers it.
SunTex Roofing and Reconstruction opened in 2022, and we are 100% woman-owned and operated. We have one office, at 12800 Westridge Blvd, Suite 162, in Frisco, and it is the address on our Google Business Profile. We do not claim a Pflugerville office we do not have. Our Central Texas and Austin work is led by Alex Keller on sales and by Travis and Alison Gardenhire as project managers, and their names are listed on our About page.
Why does that matter when you pick a roofing company? Because a roof outlives the sales call. If a question comes up two years after the job, you should know which company to call, where it is and who will pick up. We would rather tell you all of that before you sign than leave you to look it up after.
NOAA's Storm Events Database files seven hail reports under the Pflugerville name between 2010 and the end of June 2026, six of them an inch or larger on four storm days (NOAA NCEI Storm Events Database). That count is low, and it is low for a reason: NOAA files each report under the nearest named place, and six more hail reports filed under nearby names describe hail in or near Pflugerville. The ones that matter most:
Wind has a file of its own here. On December 13, 2015, gusts measured at 51 knots damaged some shingles and holiday decorations in the city. On June 3, 2018, a spotter estimated 60 mph gusts near the intersection of Highway 45 and Highway 130, and gusts estimated at 65 mph snapped tree limbs near Pflugerville. Read these as reports from people who measured, not a full map of every roof hit.
An owner who lives in the house asks different questions from a landlord comparing bids from a distance. In our experience, three things matter to them before they hire a roofer.
The first is proof that the roof needs what the estimate says. Photographs answer that better than any explanation does. The second is a straight answer when a repair will do, because nobody wants to replace a roof that has years left in it. The third is a record they can keep: what was wrong, what we did, and when.
We build every Pflugerville estimate around those three. If the photos show a repair is enough, you will hear that from us first.
Hail the size of the September 2023 stones hits a roof with enough force to do damage that a quick look will not show. On asphalt shingles the surface granules are knocked away, and underneath the fiberglass mat can fracture. The shingle may still lie flat, but it has lost the layer that shields it from sun and water, and the crack in the mat gives the next rain a way in.
The rest of the roof takes hits as well. Vent caps and pipe flashing dent. Gutters and downspouts crumple at the seams. Skylight frames and the metal drip edge pick up marks that show the size of the stones more clearly than the shingles do. The April 2021 storm that broke a car window near Pflugerville gives a sense of the force involved.
Wind adds a second layer. A gust like the 51-knot one in December 2015, which NOAA notes damaged shingles in the city, lifts shingle tabs and breaks the seal that holds each course down. A roof that has taken both hail and wind can look acceptable from the yard and still be close to failing.
That is why our assessment ends in photographs rather than a verbal verdict. Hits on one slope or one vent can mean a repair; hits on every slope usually mean more. You should be able to see, shingle by shingle, why we are recommending what we recommend.
When a 1990s or 2000s roof needs serious work, a few related decisions are best made in the same conversation.
If you are thinking about solar panels, the U.S. Department of Energy advises homeowners to consider the age of the roof and how long until it will need replacement before going solar (Department of Energy Homeowner's Guide to Going Solar). Panels mounted on a roof that is due for replacement have to come off again when it is replaced. If your roof is at that point, settle the roof first, then plan the panels.
Roof work is the natural time to look at gutters, since the roof edge and fascia are already exposed. We handle seamless gutter installation and gutter repair in aluminum, copper and steel, and we can tell you whether the existing gutters are worth keeping or were dented by the same hail that hit the roof.
If your subdivision has an HOA with architectural guidelines, the shingle color and style may need approval, even on a partial repair where the new shingles have to sit beside the old ones. We match the approved specifications in the estimate, help with the request and will attend the HOA meeting with you if the board wants to hear from us.
Pflugerville has 12,862 housing units built between 1990 and 2009. Every one of those roofs that has never been replaced is now somewhere between its late teens and its mid-thirties, and has already been through the storms listed above. Not every one of them needs replacing. A roof with good ventilation and no storm damage can still have time left, and a roof with one damaged area may need only a repair. The point is that thousands of homeowners here are facing the same question at once, and the answer depends on what is on each roof, not on the year the house was built.
That storm did not stop at Pflugerville. NOAA's records for the same day show hail up to four inches in Round Rock, up to three inches across northern and central Austin, and 2.5 inch hail in western Georgetown. NOAA's narrative puts the hail damage from the whole storm complex at about $700 million across Texas. If your roof has not been looked at since then and you have not filed a claim, talk to your insurer about whether a claim is still possible under your policy, and have the roof photographed now so you know what is there.
We photograph each problem we find and walk you through the pictures. On a hail-damaged roof that typically means individual hits on shingles, dents in metal, and the condition of the flashing and vents. On an aging roof it can mean cracked or curling shingles, worn granules and sealant that has pulled away. If we find nothing wrong, the photos show that too, and you keep them.
The pictures are yours to use as you see fit. Show them to your insurer, to a family member who knows roofs, or to another contractor if you want a second estimate. An estimate that depends on you taking a roofer's word for what is up there is harder to check than one that comes with the evidence attached, and we would rather be checked.
We recommend repair when the damage is limited to one area: a lifted course of shingles, a cracked pipe boot, a single leaking valley. Replacement is the better choice when damage is spread across several slopes, when patches would not match the faded shingles around them, when leaks keep returning in new places, or when your insurer has approved a full replacement. On a replacement, the old roofing comes off down to the deck, which is the only point where soft or rotted decking shows itself, and new underlayment, flashing and roofing go on after the deck is sound.
Texas law puts insurers on a clock too. Under Chapter 542 of the Insurance Code, an insurer generally has 15 days after it receives notice of a claim to acknowledge it, begin its investigation and request what it needs from you. Once it has everything it asked for, it generally has 15 business days to accept or reject the claim in writing, and if it cannot decide in that time it must tell you why it needs more (Texas Insurance Code Chapter 542). Surplus lines insurers run on longer timelines. Keep a note of the date you reported the claim, and keep copies of what you send.
Hail gets the headlines, but Pflugerville's wind record runs through the gaps between hail storms. On January 25, 2012, the National Weather Service investigated damage to several businesses and warehouse buildings near the Pflugerville ISD bus barn, close to Crystal Bend Drive and Immanuel Road, and put it down to straight-line gusts estimated above 60 mph. On May 28, 2017, gusts estimated at 60 mph knocked down a fence near Dearing Elementary School. On May 24, 2022, estimated 60 mph gusts brought down tree limbs in the city, and on May 10, 2026, a large snapped limb was reported in Pflugerville.
None of those days produced the kind of hail that sends a whole street to its insurer. Each one could still lift shingle tabs and break seals on an older roof, and lifted tabs caught early are often a repair job. If a windy night left shingles or pieces of ridge cap in your yard, that is worth an assessment even when no hail fell.
The 2012 damage near the bus barn is a reminder that Pflugerville's roofs are not all on houses. We roof commercial and multi-family properties as well as homes. A business owner or property manager gets the same approach a homeowner does: photographs of the existing condition before any price, a written estimate and one project manager who coordinates the work with whoever runs the building. Where an association manages several buildings, we match the approved specification across all of them so the property looks consistent when the work is done.
Here is the sequence in more detail, so nothing about the process surprises you.
When you call (214) 766-3669, we ask what you have seen, when the storm hit, whether you have contacted your insurer and whether your neighborhood has an HOA.
We assess the roof at your Pflugerville address and photograph every problem. You see the photos, then you get a written estimate and our recommendation. If you are filing a claim, the photos support it.
Your project manager confirms the crew date, stays in touch while the work runs and walks the finished roof with you. Ask about our Roof Care Program before the walkthrough ends if you want the roof inspected twice a year from then on.
Before the work, a Pflugerville roof that has come through a few storms tends to show it in quiet ways. Granules wash out of the downspouts after every rain. A vent cap carries a dent. A shingle tab lifts on the side that faces the weather, and a faint stain appears on a bedroom ceiling.
After a repair, the damaged area is fixed and you have photos of it before and after. After a replacement, the old roofing is gone, the deck has been checked and repaired where needed, and new underlayment, flashing and roofing material are in place. If you chose new gutters, they went on with the roof.
You also own a record. Photos of the old roof, the damage and the finished job, plus the written estimate and the material details, stay with you. That record helps when you sell and helps if a future storm leads to a claim, because the condition of the roof before the storm is already documented.
And if you join the Roof Care Program, that record keeps growing: as a member you get two inspections a year with a written roof health report and photos, so the next adjuster has dated evidence to work from.
Whether it is lingering damage from September 2023, a roof from the late 1990s that is starting to leak, or simply not knowing what is up there, the first step costs nothing: a complimentary assessment and photographs you can keep.
Call (214) 766-3669 any day from 7 am to 6 pm, or send the form and we will call you back. We will come to your home, photograph what we find and give you a written estimate for whatever the roof needs.

Pflugerville roofing FAQ
If nobody has, yes. NOAA filed tea cup size hail, three inches across, in Pflugerville that day, along with quarter size hail in and just west of the city. Hail that large can fracture shingles without leaving obvious marks from the ground. The only way to know is to have the roof assessed. Ours is free, and you get photos of whatever we find, including a clean result if the roof came through fine.
The build year alone cannot answer that. It tells you how long the roof could have been up, not what shape it is in. More than 7,300 Pflugerville homes were built in the 2000s, and the ones still on their first roof have also lived through every storm since. We assess the roof, show you photos and tell you plainly whether it needs a repair, a replacement or nothing yet.
Under Chapter 542 of the Texas Insurance Code, an insurer generally has 15 days after receiving notice of your claim to acknowledge it, start investigating and ask for what it needs. After it has everything it asked for, it generally has 15 business days to accept or reject the claim in writing, or to tell you why it needs more time. Surplus lines insurers have longer timelines. We support the claim with photo documentation of the damage.
Before, if the roof is near the end of its life. The U.S. Department of Energy tells homeowners to consider how long the roof has until it needs replacing before they go solar, because panels on an old roof have to be removed and reinstalled when the roof is redone. If your roof was damaged in a storm, settle the roof first.
If your neighborhood has an HOA, check its architectural guidelines, because roofing color and material often need approval. We match the approved specifications in the estimate, help you prepare the request and will attend the HOA meeting with you if the board wants to talk to the roofer.
We come to your home, assess the roof, photograph every problem we find and go through the photos with you. You get a written estimate if work is needed, a recommendation on repair versus replacement, and an honest answer if no work is needed at all. The assessment costs nothing.
